On June ۱, ۲۰۲۵, at approximately ۱:۲۶ p.m. MDT, a violent attack occurred during a peaceful solidarity walk organized by the Boulder Jewish Community Center in Boulder, Colorado. The event, known as “Run For Their Lives”, aimed to raise awareness about Israeli hostages held in Gaza.
As participants moved through Pearl Street Mall, Mohamed Sabry Soliman (۴۵) attacked using a homemade flamethrower and Molotov cocktails, shouting phrases like “Free Palestine” and “End Zionists”.

Eight individuals between ages ۵۲ and ۸۸ were injured. Among them was an ۸۸-year-old Holocaust survivor and a University of Colorado professor. Two victims were airlifted to Aurora for critical burn treatment.

The suspect, Mohamed Sabry Soliman, is an Egyptian national who entered the U.S. in August ۲۰۲۲ on a B۱/B۲ visa, which expired in February ۲۰۲۳. He had been staying illegally since. He was injured and arrested at the scene.
